A demake of David Crane and Bob Whitehead's famous Venetian Blinds demo, originally made for the Atari 2600 in 1982.

The original demo has a pretty cool backstory - it's kind of a defiant middle-finger to Atari, who were threatening Activision with a frivolous lawsuit. The lawsuit was (by Atari's own admission) complete nonsense, but it could have tanked Activision if successful, and it also raised a bunch of questions about how much influence a console manufacturer could/should exert over third-party software publishers.

This PICO-8 version doesn't have fun backstory or historical significance that the original has, but it does have a Venetian blind that you can raise or lower to your heart's content. Enjoy!

Press up or down to raise or lower the blind.
