Devlog 2

The second day of making HUGTON LOVES YOU.

As yet there's no actual development done (gulp!). I got over-invested yesterday when making models and ended up doing all the 3D assets I need for the whole game. So I'm ahead on one front but behind on another.

Main goal for day 2 is getting a 'dummy' version of the game running, i.e a version of the game which runs from start to finish, even though nothing's in yet. This means a bit more work up front, but makes things easier later on as I can drop things in as I make them.

Also want to get the environment finished (shouldn't take long since all the assets are made) and make a start on some of the audio.

That's a very crowded todo list, but I like to pack in as much as I can early on in a gamejam - better to push yourself at the start when you have the energy than crunch for a deadline (never crunch at all if possible!). If it turns out to be too much work to take on, it's an early indicator of a scope problem which should be addressed.

I'm going to end all of these with a current development screenshot, but since there's nothing actually done yet I'll just post this parasol.

See you tomorrow!
